212 Fine Foods

I was asked a few weeks ago to take some interior/exterior images of our newest eating establishment in town; 212 Fine Foods - http://www.212finefoods.ca/.
Another great challenge to take on & I was excited to use multiple strobes to create bright, vibrant & dynamic (& yes Chris – hopefully sexy) images.
This first shot shows the exterior of the building with temporary signage they were using before the more detailed carved pieces arrived. First off – notice the very large flower pot in the foreground? I had it balanced on the delicate wrought iron railing to try to get some desperately needed foreground interest. If that pot had tipped over... – ...what a mess!
I had two strobes set up to help with this image. Both lights were set up in umbrellas & the windy day kept catching them both almost knocking the one over into oncoming traffic. Strobe camera right was to help make the foreground flowers & signage pop (1/2 power) while the second strobe was camera left about 8 ft away & way up high pointed at the building the mounted sign (full power).
Had great fun with the challenge of this shoot – I would like to do more interior work.
Actual interior images to come soon... in the mean time you can go straight to: http://www.212finefoods.ca/ to see the rest of my images. (note – the saturation seems to have been amped up slightly from what I have...)
